本课程是商务英语专业的专业方向必修课,针对剑桥商务英语证书考试开设,根据商务英语专业和商务工作实际需要,从听,说,读,写四个方面全面提高学生在商务和一般生活环境下使用英语的能力。该课程与其它专业课程相辅相成,互为基础,对于基础英语和专业课程起着承上启下的作用。其教学目的是让英语与商务知识相结合,为学生毕业后成为适应社会需要的应用型涉外商务工作者打下坚实的基础。课程内容涵盖对外商务活动的方方面面---市场营销、人力资源管理、企业管理、组织机构、证券投资、服务贸易、广告宣传、跨国经营、金融保险、电子商务、信息技术、办公文秘、酒店餐饮、全球化品牌等广泛的国际商务知识。通过本课程的学习使学生熟悉广泛的商务和跨文化知识,以具备从事对外商务活动的基本能力。

一、课程概述
(一)课程性质
本课程是商务英语专业的必修课程,它是在学生掌握英语听、说、读、写技能的基础上,增加了商务情景下商务英语的运用,为学生学习其它涉外商务专业课程打好英语基础。
(二)设计思路
1.以理论联系实际、知识点与技能点相结合的设计思路
本课程应创设仿真商务环境,就所需掌握的知识点与技能点进行典型教学,有针对性的开展教学活动,让学生在实际情境中掌握和运用所需知识,跨越理论与实际间的鸿沟,以到达融会贯通的水平。
2.以案例分析、实证分析为主体的设计思路
本课程应安排具体的商务实例,进行情境教学,以案例、实证分析为主线展开教学,引导学生进入实际案例,身临其境的学习课程知识点和技能点,并进一步在实际商务实例运用和巩固所学的知识。
3.以业务流程为主线的设计思路

二、课程目标

1.能理解商务概念及公司结构的有关内容和基本术语。

3.能熟悉人力资源管理的有关内容和基本术语。
4.能了解市场营销和产品推介的有关内容和基本术语。
5.能了解商务报告的英文格式、体裁,看懂简单的英文商业报告。
6.能熟悉英文版电子商务的有关内容和用语。
(三)素质目标
1.提高学生的实际操作能力,能无障碍看懂及撰写英文商务信函、报告、
合同、会议记录等商务类文件。
2.提高学生基本的商务英语技能:听、说、读、写、译,能在一般的商务
活动中进行应对和交流。
3.加强学生对于商务词汇和术语的掌握,了解熟悉商务活动的过程,并参
与其中。
4.具备商务人员应有的基本素质,同时对于企业的成功之道有一定了解。

2.实践内容
(1) Interview
这一节包括的内容主要是能够流利、准确的说出选择一份工作原因,在面试时最重要的是什么,在面试时应做的准备工作,包括:面试前、面试中、面试后。通过面试的口语对话练习,让我了解到面试时的常用语。通过把学到的英语知识运用到实际中,锻炼了学生的口语能力。同时面试也是学生步入社会的第一步,对学生的将来起着极其重要的作用。
(2) Reception and visit
这一部分学习的内容主要是如何向外宾致欢迎词,如何与外商进行对话,以及与外商讨论公司合作的有关事宜。通过学习这一部分的知识,使客人更好地了解学生的公司,相信学生的公司,才能更好的进行交流合作。
(3) Meeting and organization
明确叙述会议的目的核对并记录与会者。根据议事日程顺序提出每个项目,然后进行讨论,征求有关与会者的意见。给每一个人表述自己意见的机会。控制讨论过程。如果发生与论题无关或深入到不必要的细节上,应及时引导到议题本身。如果讨论变得复杂,出现各种不同的见解时,你要根据自己的理解将各种观点加以概括。坚持预定的时间,不要拖延。在每个项目讨论结束后加以概括,以便决策或达成结论。在会议结束时,对已取得的结果进行概括。如确有必要进一步讨论,可以推迟到下一次会议。确定下次会议的议题和时间。
(4) Negotiation
协商协议是协商各方需遵守的约束彼此行为的准则。根据协商模式的不同,目前存在以下三种协商:(1)服务商提供支持的协商(服务商仅提供协商服务,但不参与协商);(2)买方或卖方自行协商;(3)第三方参与的协商。
(5) Marketing and sales
市场销售是对外贸易也是商务活动中重要组成部分,其中包括市场调查、产品介绍、销售产品、售后服务等方面。只有进行良好的市场调查才能更好的销售商品。应正确的介绍产品,并安排正确的销售手段、提供最好的售后服务。只有做好这些,才能销售好商品。
(6) Business telephone
作为公司的代表,你打电话的举止应该是无可挑剔的。许多在打电话时举止粗鲁的工作人员给自己的行为找理由,说那是可以接受的,甚至理应如此,因为他们正在工作。但这是说不通的。你实际上是在为公司树立形象,因此应该就像面见对方一样尽可能打好电话。有选择地接电话是可以的,有时甚至是必要的。但是如何做则有正误之分。首先训练你的秘书要有礼貌。最好问我能问是哪位打来的吗?,而不是谁呀?,更不是谁在打电话?。第二,不要教你的秘书在你在的时候说不在。说工作太忙无暇通话是可以接受的以诚相待永远是上策。打电话的人能听出不同,况且,如果你总不在也不太好。不回电话是无礼的不管电话来自何人。你或许会错过一个可能成为客户的人。当今许多人不屑回电话,但如果你身为别人的雇员,如此行为恐怕难以接受。当你能够回电话时,尽量自己做。如果你必须先让你的秘书代劳,那么应尽快接过电话。如果电话是你打的,让对方久等是不礼貌的。
(7) Business dinner
这一课主要学习的是餐桌上如何点餐以及正确的餐桌礼仪。良好的餐桌礼仪能够给学生的顾客留下良好的印象,获得更多的青睐。给学生带来无限的商机。
(8) Business presentation
在进行产品介绍前要通过三步选好自己的主题。一是确定为什么要选择这件商品,既要容易表达也要有足够的特点。二是要明确听众是什么类型。如果是同行,就要提供更多的信息。如果只是顾客,就要提出吸引他们的地方。三是明确听众知道些什么关于产品的知识,想知道些什么。通过这些过程,一定可以做出吸引人眼球的产品介绍会。

五、实施建议
(一)教学方法
该课程教学模式主要是采取任务驱动型、案例、工学结合等教学模式,虽然本课程是属于语言习得,但是在具体教学中最大限度地避免了单一进行语言操练的模式,而是将语言的模仿与掌握放在仿真 “任务”完成的过程之中。学生能够在独立完成每个公司工作任务,既学习到相关语言表达,又能够熟悉外企的工作风格。
1.模块教学法:利用网络教室,学生以模块为单位从具体任务入手,经过感性认识后,教师归纳教学要点及内容。
2.案例教学法:结合商务工作过程的重要环节,通过具体案例进行分析教学。
3.工学结合教学法:为使学生有真实的商务环境和正确理解公司生活,学生在学校学习商务英语的理论知识后,采用现场体验式教学,去实训企业感受真实岗位工作内容。
(二)教学手段
在综合语音室,充分利用多媒体技术、教学软件,通过视觉、听觉,运用课件、光盘等多媒体资料使学生充分了解商务环境下的工作过程。通过上述手段优化教学过程,提高教学质量。

第一次课设计梗概(2课时)
(1) 告知学生本课程的总体安排、教材的处理,上课的方式、明确学习目标。
两个目标:通过听、说、读、写及分组讨论,案例表演和课堂演示,培养学生在商务情景下的工作习惯和交流意识;尽量通过BEC初级考试。
两个要求:为了提高学生的积极性并使他们了解在平时的学习中应提高哪些能力,告诉学生现在用人单位对员工的要求,第一要有一定的专业素质,二是情商要高,即懂得如何交流,如何为人处事。
教学方式:在教学中,主要采取活动教学,通过各种各样的活动,提高学生的自信心和交流能力。将学生分为六组,每组四人,一个组即为一个公司,每个组员都有一个职位,第一周确定每个组员的职位。第三、四周确定公司的名称、职能和业务范畴,并在全班演示。
(2) 考核方式
平时表现:两个方面,一是整组的表现,即各个公司在各种课堂活动上的表现;二是
个人的主动表现和提问表现.只要平时刻苦努力,积极主动。
期末卷面:一整套BEC初级的模拟题。
口试:口试的形式仿照BEC初级口试形式并加上案例表演。
(3) 进入正题
本次课的项目主要是介绍公司的职务分类,职能范畴,撰写个人简介及设计名片。

Different ways of working
Part 1 Put students into pairs or small groups to discuss how they work most effectively.
Alternative
If you teach pre-work learners, write this list of questions on the board to help them discuss the points more easily:

Part 2 Students match the teens to the definitions. If you teach students who are in work, or perhaps also work part-time, ask if any of them are familiar with these ways of working, eg ask them:

Read the following words aloud and ask students to underline the word stress or stressed word:freelance, teleworking, consultancy, flexitime,
Afterwards, drill the students and make sure they can pronounce the words properly. Note alsu that two-part words like-job-sharing, shift work, part-time, hot-desking carry virtually equal stress in both words.
Extension
Ask the class which ways of working they would like to try.
Step 3 Students match the comments to the different ways of working.

Freelance, temping, consultancy: It's great because I'm my own boss but 1 still got to work with lots of different people.
Teleworking: It can get a bit lonely at times. And I miss my colleagues and all the office gossip.

Step 4 Put students into groups to discuss more advantages and disadvantages. If time is short, give each group one way of working. Collate their ideas on the board in a table as shown below.
How to job-share
Step 5 Ask students to read the whole text before they put the headings with the correct paragraphs. Tell them that they wnn't need to understand every word to complete this reading task.

Extension I

Student B should be sceptical and mention disadvantages. Set a time limit of three
minutes for each conversation. Then students change partners and swap roles.
Extension 2
After reading the Exam Success tip, ask students to think of possible questions in pairs and then write everyone's ideas on the board. Finally, you can ask students to work in pairs. One student pretends to be an examiner and ask Borne of the questions.
The other student tries to answer them. At this early stage of the course, focus on the positive aspects of their responses in your feedback. The main aim is for students to be introduced to the idea that they will have to be able to talk on many different areas of business in the exam.
